How to Measure Your Pupillary Distance
If you prescription does not include your PD we have it covered. All you need is a ruler, mirror or a friend to help.

How Measure Your Own PD
1 Download the Cohen’s PD Ruler to scale and fold along the dotted line 

2 Stand 8in away from a mirror. 

3 Looking straight ahead place the zero on the center of your nose along our brow. Measure the distance from the
center of your nose to your left pupil.This is your left PD measurement.

4 Looking straight ahead place the zero on the center of your nose along your brow. Measure the distance
from the center of your nose to your right pupil. This is your right PD measurement.

5 Repeat these steps 3 – 4 times to ensure its accurate and consistent.


Having a friend measure your PD
- Find a ruler that measures in millimeters, or download the Cohen’s PD ruler.
- Look straight at your friend with your eyes open. Focus on an object that is 10’ away keeping your head still.
- Have your friend place the zero on the center of your nose along your brow. Measure the distance
from the center of your nose to your left pupil. This is your left PD measurement. - Measure the distance from the center of your nose to your right pupil. This is your right PD measurement.
- Repeat these steps 3 – 4 times to ensure its accurate and consistent.
